The big fish we caught tasted great. Almost 25 miles of the coast and in a growing storm it was a nice trip with the many fish we found in the waters. Some were following the boat, that was a pretty nice sight. On the ocean the wind created waves of several meters high and that combined with the rain made us return after 4 hours on the water.

On my way to the States

For business and pleasure I’m flying this Saturday morning to NY! There is a delay already; the tail of the 757 seems to be damaged and a part of it is being replaced at the gate.

More bad news; Delta will close their Amsterdam desk and flights will be shared with KLM starting April 1st.

Gate g8 at Amsterdam airport gives a panorama view of the runway and it is impressive to see the big 747 planes landing.

Tomorrow I will fly from JFK to the US virgin islands for a short mini break.

The last weeks have been pretty hectic. We contracted a number of publishers and development studios. We also had the launch of the open beta of a new multiplayer game by ID Software, more on that will follow. To top that up, we are also in the preparations for the launch of one of the bigger multiplayer games scheduled to launch in the near future.

The guys from WordPress released a GREAT tool to update your own Wordpress blog(s) through the Apple iPhone and iPhone 3G!

They are working on version 1.2 now, it will include new features and a lot of bug fixes.

I will use this new gadget in my upcoming trip to the USA west coast. The trip will begin in Amsterdam with a direct flight to New York JFK. At JFK I will take a helicopter to the downtown Manhattan Heliport (who needs taxi cars nowadays?), sponsored by Delta Airlines. They are having a promotion till the 29th of August giving these helicopter flights away with eligible tickets on flights to JFK.

In NY I’ll stay 48 hours and join in the celebration of a very special girl’s birthday! Together we fly into Salt Lake City (Utah) the next day. There we rent a car, visit friends and family and drive to San Francisco and Los Angeles for business. Beginning of September we’ll fly back to NY, I spend a few days there working and giving a sneak peak on a technology update we’ve been working overtime for at the office. Not exactly a vacation huh?
