SmartDC: Additional 2 MW power transformer
As SmartDCs customers are growing, so is SmartDCs capacity. One important aspect of a data center’s capacity is the amount of power it has available. SmartDC has 12 Mega-Watt power available. To plug in to this massive capacity, we use transformers to create 400V power from the 23kV power feed.
A new transformer was recently delivered to SmartDC and will be put in operation before the end of 2010.
