The Red Cross decided I should donate more

A little while ago I received a letter from the Dutch Red Cross notifying me they decided my monthly donation will be raised by 40% and if I did not provide feedback they would automatically draw it from my bank account. I don’t understand how a charity can decide so easily to upset their sponsors. Who are they to decide I should donate more money to their charity?

Luckily there are other charities that are not run by crooks who make 199,000 Euro a year in salary. In 2008 the Dutch Red Cross spend 456,000 Euro on two CEOs, isn’t that absurd?
